History
Opened in the 1830s, the Roscoe Head is one of the few pubs in Liverpool, if not Great Britain, to have survived the onslaught of the large pub chains.
Consisting of a main bar, two small rooms and a tiny snug, conversation definitely rules at this establishment.
There is no jukebox or fruit machine - just good beer and a warm welcome, all delivered by friendly and well-trained staff.
Our regular customers are from all walks of life and the backroom debates are always entertaining; whether it be politics or football on the agenda the banter is always lively but good humoured!
Managed by members of the same family for over 35 years, this historic pub commemorates William Roscoe (1753 -1831), Liverpool historian, poet and leading campaigner for the abolition of slavery.
